Fully refurbished and recovered in new cream and black rexine it looks very smart indeed. It has the original BSR UA14 turntable and a new stereo-safe SX6H cartridge it sounds as good as it did when it left the factory. Replacement mains cable, capacitors replaced and new brass fittings. The speaker had a date stamp of 8 March 1960, but was too badly damaged to repair, so it has been replaced with a similar vintage speaker.
These models aren’t really suitable for legs as the bottom is made of hardboard, so reinforcement blocks would have to be fitted on the inside.
