Dansette Major c1958

A lovely clean example of a Dansette Major from about 1958. Cleaned inside and out with a new mains cable fitted with a 3amp fuse and earthed. The internal electrics have been checked and replaced where out of tolerance. The bronze hinges and catches have all been replaced with high quality. The front knobs and grill are original. The BSR UA8 turntable has been cleaned and re-greased and works at all 4 speeds with the auto-changer. It’s fitted with a new high output turnover TC8H cartridge which gives very good volume but is mono only, and not really suitable for stereo records.

The red and grey rexine covering is all original and has been cleaned to a nice clean finish.
